I recently had the privilege of sitting down with Dr. Rolf Gomes, the visionary founder of Heart of Australia. From transforming a humble idea into a life-changing initiative that brings healthcare to some of Australia's most remote areas, Dr. Gomes shared his inspiring journey of innovation, resilience, and compassion. We discussed his unwavering commitment to bridging the gap in rural healthcare, the challenges he's faced, and the lives he's touched along the way.

Imagine, as a parent, your 14-year-old son tells you he wants to move more than 10,000kms away to a country so foreign, its difficult for you to even picture it.
Rugare Gomo’s parents though, took it in their stride, embracing their son’s dream and helping him turn it into a reality. They had taught their children the value of living boldly, being true to themselves and leading their lives with faith, integrity and kindness.

This Anzac Day, I'd like to share the reading of a letter written to Miss Rose Harris of Clermont from her friend Elsie Grant. The letter was written from France in 1917. Their words echo through history to remind us of the enduring bonds of friendship, during the harsh realities of war. We honour the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve our nation. Lest we forget.
